• Research Stream #1: Net-Enhanced Organizations and Electronic Commerce Issues
  Research initiatives are underway to examine Electronic Commerce metrics, trust, and download time delays.
  
  
• Research Stream #2: Protecting the Information Resource
  On-going work is investigating techniques used to secure firms from breaches via the Internet. Other studies are looking at the impact of consciousness raising and ethical reasoning interventions on attitudes toward computer abuse.
  
  
• Research Stream #3: Managing Technological Innovation
  Work is in progress to study the effects of social presence on technological innovation variables.
  
  
• Research Stream #4: International and Cross-Cultural IT issues
  Research is looking at changes in the workplace brought about by the introduction of computers internationally, focusing first on the Arab world. A $390K NSF-sponsored study is examining the factors that lead to successful transfer of information technology in developing countries such as Egypt.
  
  
• Research Stream #5: IS Research Methodology
  Research is looking at necessary guidelines for practice in conducting research in IS. Investigations into the proper statistics and the proper threshold values for validation of IS research are underway.
