This section describes the genesis of our work on the impact of IT in Arab countries. The work began in 1992, passed through several developmental stages before the NSF grant in 2000. We describe the ongoing work and where we hope to take the project into the future.

This section describes particular projects, including the NSF project. In many ways, the distinction between these projects is an artificial one since, as the section on "History" shows, the work has evolved from one project to the next and the only accurate view is a holistic view.

The research team has changed over the years, and all participants are listed in this section with their contact information. Email addresses are provided for ease in contacting individual project members with questions or comments about the work.

There are multiple forms of output from the ACIT-APIT work. Presentations are a major form of dissemination, and this section allows you to download the graphics from these seminars, conference presentations, and executive education sessions. Papers published in conference proceedings along with journal publications and articles in books, may be found here, many where the source can be downloaded. A conference held in Cairo in October 2004 will specialize in disseminating knowledge about ACIT-APIT.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is a major player in our ability to carry out this research. A link to the main NSF site is provided as well as links to the institutions that have generously offered their support. Many of these institutions are both partners and sponsors in the sense that their faculty are employed at these institutions and the institutions have cooperated in many ways to the research work.
